afaptor Windows seven has done a fantastic job with suppling drivers for most hardware. Just curious but have you tried installing it anyway and seeing if Windows 7 will assign it’s own drivers? Since not even the Linksys manufacturer bothers to update the drivers for this hardware, I’d recommend trying to get your hands on a copy of the Vista driver which is compatible with Win 7, 8.
Interestingly enough, Windows 7 does correctly identify the device in the device manager, so I think clmpact knows what product it is, but for whatever reason does not have the correct driver and cannot initiate the device, thus giving the error code.

I ask because you haven’t said if you installed it or not. Right click on the network driver and select update. After that window abruptly closes, I checked out the Device manager and see that it has error code Pros If you use Windows XP this will work.
